Portraits in the style of Richard Avedon

This photo replicates the style of Richard Avedon because of the emphasis of veronicas eyes. Also her clothing is natural. the whit background really forces your eyes to be drawn to the subject of this photo. This is my favorite picture I took in  the style of Richard Avedon.

A big part of this assignment was model direction. I think you can see model direction in this photo, through her eyes. She origanly look straight into the camera and put on a camera smile. Which is normal, even for me. But then I explained that Pictures are more interesting when the different. So the she stared into the camera. I think hat Ricard Avedons photos where so successful  because there where no other photos like them, they interesting because they where different.

Although Ruby is not starting into the camera her eyes grab your attention. If she was smiling this photo would not be similar to Richard Avedon's style. I also like her hair in this photo, it looks really natural.

Luis' natural smile is present in this photo. I think the shadows in this photo are really important in this photo. I think the are a lot of highlights on left side of this photo. also I used model direction in this photo.

Daisy's left eye sits on the corner of the center square. I think that this photo is really interesting to look at. The shadows in this photo are nice. I think there is a certain authenticity in this photo. The darkness of her hair, eyes and scarf are really important and make this photo very interesting.

The rule of thirds is in the background of this photo. I think that this photo is similar to Richard Avedon in that this scene is very natural. Laurence is looking directly into the camera also he has a natural  expression. I think the only difference between Richard Avedon's style and this photo is that the background is not entirely white. However I think this background improves this picture.

Portraits- before the film

This has a white background. Also I think this is authentic.

This photo has a plain background. Also Jeanie has a very natural smile, unlike a camera smile.

This is not like Richard Avedon's style portrait because she is not looking at the camera. However I still really like this photo.

Favorite assignment

This is an example of rule of thirds.
I really like the way that the blue door in the background.

This photo is an example of leading lines.

This photo was taken in a new perspective.

Leading lines create depth in this photo

There is a lot of depth in this photo.

MIrco Worlds

The light from the picture of the tree creates the scence. The light from the background works well with the actually lighting if the room that his photo was taken in. The bright frogs create a sense of depth in this photo.

The frog in the air in this photo is blurry which creates a sense of movement. The other four frogs in this photo really stand out. My eye is drawn towards the left corner.

I really like the position of the frog in this photo. The frog in the top right corner really pops in comparison to the black background.

This photo is closer than any of the others. The red floor in this photo really stands out to me.

This has a very diffrent feel. The last frog is a lone and the tone has changed. It is now a difrent time of day.
